Prescription Bourbon is a YouTube channel based in Kentucky that discusses the history, making, and tasting of whiskey products. The creator wanted a more professional look for the channel and branding assets that could be used for swag creation.
THE DETAILS
Prescription Bourbon was born from a man living in Kentucky who has a passion for bourbons and whiskeys. As he gained more knowledge and more excitement, he decided to share his findings and flavor palette with the world. He came to me looking to amp up his brand as he was gaining more traction on his YouTube channel. I created a versatile system he can use across social media and swag to sell.
THE CHALLENGES
CONDENSING: This logo needed to encompass many elements without becoming too busy
RECOGNIZABLE: In a saturated market, this identity needed to stand out from the crowd
USABILITY: These elements needed to be used across multi-channels and on printed goods
DESIGN CONCEPT
The style of this system roots itself into an old-fashioned era of bourbon bottle labels, which used to function as medicine. A badge style is the primary construction of this brand identity, as it reflects antique alcohol bottles and easily encompasses a lot of information. Each style of logo and icon can be made into a badge that can live anywhere, making it super versatile.
